Numeri sideboard. Ugo Nespolo for Laurameroni.
In Numeri, the Pop artist Ugo Nespolo fills the two-tone background in shades of blue with a free composition of numbers in bright colours, which protrude from the surface of the doors and turn up, colouring, on the edges of the top and sides.
In Ugo Nespolo's production, characterized by a strong Pop influence, the puzzle is the element tasked with breaking down and reconstructing the image in an objective process.
In Nespolo's work, composition follows a very linear and rigorous trajectory, and his palette stands out for its electric and acidic chromatics. The artist's clear intention is to elevate the mass-media language of advertising or design to an artistic manner.
Thus, Nespolo's poetics are always expressed in a fascinating composition that presents an intricate rhythm of lines and chromatic zones in the overlapping of figures and decompositions, which also recall Cubism.
The modern inlay is a mosaic of different woods freely combined to reproduce an original design, making use of inserts, embossments and contemporary geometric effects.
Discover the Intarsia Collection, a series of limited edition inlaid sideboards realized thanks to a collaboration with internationally renowed artists and designers.
The Intarsia Collection was created to appreciate and relive the local tradition of an ancient technique: that of inlay. A product designed to be reproduced in a limited edition and in numbered pieces, signed and certified by the artists and craftsmen themselves.
Intarsia also represents direct contact with simple and pure raw materials, taking shape through the manual skill and scrupulous dedication of our craftsmen, reinvented and modernized by the imagination and experience of our designers.
The sideboards of the Intarsia Collection are design furniture transformed into real paintings.
