Formiche Nere Sideboard. Emilio Isgrò for Laurameroni.

The traditional "erasures" of this piece reflect a vision of the world in which nature and culture are in perfect balance, as if to exorcise the risks of a technological intelligence that too often fears facing reality.

Formiche Nere

Formiche Nere

Emilio Isgrò is an Italian artist and writer, known for the artistic language of "cancellatura" (cancellation): a distinctive mark that describes the death of the language used by the mass media and its rebirth in artistic work.

On our Black Ants credenza, Isgrò displays insects covering blank pages and empty spaces, confusing the meaning of words. The ants express both the metaphor of decay and a renewed vivification of manuscripts.

Emilio Isgrò's "cancellatura"  takes on new conceptual life on the inlaid surface of our art credenza, ready to stand among the many magnificent works of the author, like a rebirth of words.

The modern inlay is a mosaic of different woods freely combined to reproduce an original design, making use of inserts, embossments and contemporary geometric effects.

Intarsia Collection

Intarsia Collection

The Intarsia Collection was created to appreciate and relive the local tradition of an ancient technique: that of inlay. A product designed to be reproduced in a limited edition and in numbered pieces, signed and certified by the artists and craftsmen themselves.

Intarsia also represents direct contact with simple and pure raw materials, taking shape through the manual skill and scrupulous dedication of our craftsmen, reinvented and modernized by the imagination and experience of our designers.

The sideboards of the Intarsia Collection are design furniture transformed into real paintings.
