This project represents an orderly sequence of circles on a dark background. The reproduction of the shadows of each circumference, in addition to creating an effect of depth, completes the chromatic scale with elegance and in a harmonious way.

R.T.H.2

Trix and Robert Haussmann, with their diverse backgrounds and training, find themselves united by their critique of post-war Modernism, which they perceive as lacking expression and sterile in its international language.

This critical view has led them to explore the past through travels and studies, finding particular inspiration in Italian lands.

In addition to the search for forms that go beyond mere function, the two artists are fascinated by concepts of optical illusion, anamorphosis, and labyrinths, which permeate their works and creative interests.

The modern inlay is a mosaic of different woods freely combined to reproduce an original design, making use of inserts, embossments and contemporary geometric effects.

Intarsia Collection

Intarsia Collection

The Intarsia Collection was created to appreciate and relive the local tradition of an ancient technique: that of inlay. A product designed to be reproduced in a limited edition and in numbered pieces, signed and certified by the artists and craftsmen themselves.

Intarsia also represents direct contact with simple and pure raw materials, taking shape through the manual skill and scrupulous dedication of our craftsmen, reinvented and modernized by the imagination and experience of our designers.

The sideboards of the Intarsia Collection are design furniture transformed into real paintings.

Robert e Trix Haussmann

Trix and Robert Haussmann, respectively born in 1931 and 1933, are among the most important Swiss architects of the 20th century.

Together they produced a variety of works ranging from architecture to interior design and relating to an aesthetic of rebellion against Bauhaus principles to embrace the doctrines of the Memphis Group, in a fusion of popular culture and 16th century Mannerism.
